Hulunbuir is vast — chartering a car or joining a tour is recommended. Hailar is the main hub with an airport and railway station connecting to Beijing, Shanghai, and Hohhot. We provide free airport/train pickup.

• Temperature varies 10-15°C day to night — bring a light jacket even in summer
• Strong UV: SPF50+ sunscreen, sunglasses, sun hat
• Mosquito repellent for grassland areas
• Comfortable walking shoes
• Thick coat or light down jacket in autumn
• Professional winter gear needed (provided on our winter tours)

🍖 Food & Accommodation

Mongolian cuisine features hand-grasped mutton, roast lamb, and milk tea. Portions are generous. Accommodation ranges from business hotels to traditional yurts and log cabins.

• Do not step on yurt door thresholds
• Accept offerings with your right hand
• Ask permission before photographing locals or livestock
• Respect Mongolian and Russian ethnic customs
